Lecture on Palestine at ESADSE in Saint-Étienne canceled and later rescheduled

The conference “Architecture: A Colonial Weapon in Palestine,” led by architect Léopold Lambert and organized in collaboration with a student collective from the Saint-Étienne School of Fine Arts, was canceled by ESADSE Director Eric Jourdain, even though it had previously been approved by the school. The administration cited a “right to discretion” to justify this decision. This cancellation sparked a student mobilization and garnered support from several organizations. The lecture was ultimately rescheduled at the Saint-Étienne School of Architecture on the originally planned date.
