Cancellation of a panel discussion on Palestine at Paris Nanterre University

The administration of Paris Nanterre University canceled a panel discussion organised by student associations, including Étudiants Musulmans de France (EMF) and the Fédération syndicale étudiante (FSE), entitled “A Historical and Educational Approach to Palestine.”

The university cited, among other reasons, the profile of the speakers, who are involved in activist campaigns, as well as the event’s perceived lack of academic rigour to justify its decision. Several prominent speakers were scheduled to take part, including lecturer Mokrane Sahi.
