Last-minute cancellation of a lecture on the Nakba at the University of Paris-Est Créteil

In Créteil, a conference entitled “Different Perspectives on the Nakba and its Repercussions in Israeli Society”, scheduled for 11 March 2026 at the University of Paris-Est Créteil, was cancelled the day before the event without any official announcement; the organisers were informed via text message. The cancellation, which occurred without a prefectural order, followed efforts by the Action Avocats collective to persuade local and university authorities to intervene. An application for interim relief was filed with the administrative court, but was unsuccessful due to the very short timeframe.
