Cancellation of a screening of the film The Zone of Interest, followed by a discussion with a researcher specializing in the Holocaust and the Nakba

A screening of The Zone of Interest by Jonathan Glazer, organized by Tsedek!, a decolonial Jewish collective, and originally scheduled for February 6, was cancelled. The screening was to be followed by a discussion featuring Johann Chapoutot and Sadia Agsous-Bienstein. A few days before the event, however, Chapoutot withdrew from the panel following external pressure. The Grand Action cinema subsequently refused to host the discussion with Sadia Agsous-Bienstein as the sole speaker. As a result, and with no alternative venue willing to accommodate the event, Tsedek! was ultimately forced to cancel it. Sadia Agsous-Bienstein is a researcher specializing in the memories of both the Holocaust and the Nakba.
