Removal of Mats Grorud’s film Wardi from a Cinema Program in Paris

The animated film Wardi by Mats Grorud, which tells the story of a young Palestinian girl living in a refugee camp in Beirut, was removed from the “Collège au cinéma” educational film program by the Paris education authority.

The rector of the Paris academy justified the decision by citing the “context of extreme international tension and its potential consequences on our territory.”
