Invited to an event commemorating Kristallnacht (November 9–10, 1938), organized by the Jewish Community Center of Frankfurt, the American Jewish philosopher Jason Stanley took the stage to deliver a speech linking his work on German philosophers to his own family’s Jewish-German roots. As his speech became more political and critical of Zionism and Israel’s policies in the Gaza Strip, the crowd booed him before the event organizers forced him to wrap up. He left the stage amid the boos.
