The city of Lyon attempted to prevent the conference “Palestine-Israël-colonisation/apartheid,” organized by a collective supporting the Palestinian people and featuring lawyer Salah Hamouri, from taking place. Municipal authorities cited “risks of public disorder” to justify the decision.

Lyon’s administrative court ultimately authorized the event, which took place on June 22 at the Bourse du Travail in Lyon.
