Palestinian photojournalist Anas Zayed Fteiha has been accused by the German daily Bild of staging the famine in Gaza to serve Hamas’s propaganda. This false accusation follows the publication in Time of an investigative report by the journalist on hunger and food distribution points in Gaza. The scene, photographed in Gaza City on August 5, was also captured by AFP and Al Jazeera. Although Anas Zayed Fteiha sought to take legal action against his critics, the Frankfurt Regional Court denied his request due to an issue with the validity of the power of attorney he had granted to his lawyer.
