Palestinian researcher barred from speaking at an ENS conference

In 2024, a conference was scheduled to take place at the École Normale Supérieure (Jourdain campus) with Didier Fassin, Leïla Seurat, and a Palestinian researcher. A few days before the event, the ENS administration decided to exclude the Palestinian researcher from the program, refusing to include him among the invited speakers.

Following a mobilization by a group of students from the Jourdain campus, as well as by Didier Fassin and Leïla Seurat—who announced they would withdraw from the event if the Palestinian researcher was not reinstated—the researcher was ultimately allowed to participate as a speaker at the conference.
