The police arrested and searched the home of Yannis Arab, a PhD student in history, before placing him in police custody for 24 hours as part of an investigation into the glorification of terrorism. Although he was released following this measure, he remains the subject of ongoing legal proceedings. The trial was supposed to take place on the 11th of June 2026, but has been reschedule in March 2027.
