Search of the Violette and Co bookshop following the sale of a book, investigation closed without further action

In Paris, the bookshop Violette and Co was raided by the police and the public prosecutor’s office as part of an investigation into the sale of Nathi Ngubane’s colouring book "From the River to the Sea". The operation, involving several police officers, resulted in a thorough search of the premises, though no copies of the book were found. Having previously been targeted for its political stances, the bookshop had been summoned as part of a preliminary investigation, which was ultimately closed without further action on 16 March 2026.
