On 5 March 2024, Professor Luz Gómez posted a message on X calling for the attacks of 7 October 2023 to be described as "armed resistance" and analysed within the framework of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
In May 2024, ACOM filed a criminal complaint against her, arguing that the message could amount to justifying the violence committed by Hamas, citing in particular Article 510 of the Spanish Criminal Code on hate crimes.
In July 2025, ACOM announced that Luz Gómez had been summoned as a suspect (investigada) before Madrid Investigating Court No. 13. The sources consulted report no conviction to date.
