Refusal to Host a Seminar on Palestine and International Law

Following her coordination of a special issue of the journal Recherches internationales devoted to Palestine and international law, published in September 2025, Insaf Rezagui sought to organize a seminar at one of the research centers of Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. The aim was to bring together several contributors to the issue to present and discuss their work.

The proposal was nevertheless rejected by the management of the center concerned. According to the reasons given, the event did not provide sufficient guarantees of pluralism and scholarly debate and was considered more akin to a platform for advocacy than to an academic seminar, given the profile of the proposed speakers.
