Dismissal of Mr Yannis Arab from Champollion High School in Grenoble

Yannis Arab, a teacher of history and geography at Champollion High School in Grenoble, taught a class on the contemporary history of Palestine to senior students in December 2023. Although the official curriculum includes a chapter on the Middle East, some parents complained to the school about this class.

Following this outcry, the administration at Champollion High School terminated the teacher’s contract and requested that he be removed from the school.
