The administration of the University of Grenoble Alpes has suspended the accreditation of the Grenoble Student Union for two months, preventing it from conducting activities on campus. This decision follows the adoption in December 2024 of a motion at the university’s board of trustees, sponsored by the union, expressing concerns about the situation in Gaza and calling for the admission of Palestinian students, followed by public statements on social media. The union has denounced the measure as an act of union repression and has filed a lawsuit.
